
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the concerned authorities to pace up the work on the I.J Principal Road.
According to the details, the soil testing and pile laid testing are underway on the project site and the instructions have been issued to complete the initial investigations at the earliest.
The project incorporates the construction of four lanes on each side of the IJP Road along with constructing flyovers on the 9th avenue, and Faqeer Appe Road. Similarly, two bridges will also be developed at Katarian and Pirwadhai for ensuring smooth traffic flow.
As per the media reports, the project is expected to be completed within 18 months at the cost of Rs4.9bn.
The CDA officials on the directives of the Chairman inspected the project site and reviewed the ongoing construction work.
