The essential services division, comprising dedicated officers and staff, has been mobilized to work tirelessly during the monsoon, with leaves canceled to maintain seamless operations. Chairman CDA, Mengal has made it clear that any instances of negligence or disregard for duty will not be tolerated, and strict measures will be taken against those found responsible.

Field officials equipped with modern machinery have been deployed to closely monitor the city’s drains and canals 24/7, ensuring swift action to prevent water-logging and flooding. The administration has also established functional emergency response centers across Islamabad to promptly address any emergencies that may arise.

Chairman Mengal emphasized that the flow of water in drains remains unhindered, thanks to the efforts of the Sewerage Wing, which has already completed the comprehensive cleaning of all city drains prior to the monsoon season. Furthermore, special attention is being given to areas in the hilly regions, with stringent monitoring measures in place to ensure the safety of residents.

Residents of Islamabad can rest assured that the authorities are fully prepared to handle any challenges posed by the monsoon. In case of emergencies, citizens can reach out to the city CDA helpline number for immediate assistance.
