
Islamabad: In a meeting of the Chinese delegation from Chongqing with Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar, proposals were discussed in regards to exploring opportunities for future cooperation. China shows interest in investment worth $1billion in sectors of agriculture, automotive, textiles, IT and telecom.
In a talk over China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) entering its second phase, the focus has to shift to industrial and agriculture cooperation developing Gwadar socioeconomically. In this regards China can help boost Pakistan’s exports as Chongqing is of the main centres of heavy industrial activity in automotive and electronics industries in China along with 37 industrial parks. It can help re-locate export-oriented industries in Pakistan. It will initiate joint ventures in multiple fields boosting cooperation and bilateral economic partnership between China and Pakistan.
Bakhtyar has assured of extending complete support and facilitation for China to invest further and boost its economic cooperation with Pakistan.
