A delegation from China-based Beiming Software has visited Pakistan to explore collaboration opportunities in smart cities and digital transformation, marking an important step in strengthening technological cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Beiming Software entered into a strategic partnership with Smart TechOne (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, also known as the HRL Group. Smart TechOne is actively engaged in Pakistan’s digital transformation efforts through projects such as Capital Smart City, Lahore Smart City and Silicon Village.
Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly design and implement smart city solutions in Pakistan, starting with Capital Smart City. The collaboration aims to introduce advanced urban management systems, digital governance platforms, smart infrastructure and data-driven public services to improve operational efficiency, sustainability and residents’ quality of life.
The partnership was formalised at a signing ceremony led by Muhammad Aslam Malik, Group Chief Operating Officer of HRL Group, and attended by senior representatives from Beiming Software and HRL, including Wang Jiangping, Xue Jinghui and Khalid Taimur Akram.
Separately, Beiming Software also signed a cooperation agreement with Smart Future Technologies (Private) Limited, another entity within HRL’s smart city ecosystem. This partnership will focus on the nationwide development and deployment of smart city solutions, using technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing and data analytics to enhance urban governance and public service delivery.
Founded in 1998, Beiming Software Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specialising in cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies, with extensive experience in supporting smart city projects globally.
The collaboration positions Capital Smart City as a key pilot site for the rollout of advanced digital solutions in Pakistan’s urban infrastructure, highlighting the growing role of Chinese technology firms in the country’s smart city development landscape.
