The visit of the high-level Chinese delegation has been marked by special arrangements and full security measures. In light of this occasion, the government has announced local holidays in the capital city on 31st July and 1st August.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, launched in 2013, aims to boost infrastructure development, enhance modern transportation, implement energy projects, and establish special economic zones in the region, thereby bolstering the country’s economy.

Vice Premier He Lifeng’s presence in Pakistan reflects the significance of the CPEC project and reaffirms the commitment of both countries to fostering economic growth and regional connectivity. This partnership has proven to be a crucial component of Pakistan’s developmental goals, opening up new avenues for progress and cooperation between the two nations.

In an official statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed their appreciation for CPEC’s significant role as a pioneering project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The spokesperson highlighted that CPEC has yielded fruitful outcomes and has emerged as a shining example of the deep bond between the two nations.

China is eagerly looking forward to this visit as an opportunity for both sides to collaboratively implement the “important consensus” reached by the leaders of China and Pakistan. The visit aims to rejuvenate the long-standing friendship, build upon past accomplishments, and elevate the development of CPEC to new heights.

As the 10th anniversary of CPEC is celebrated, both China and Pakistan are poised to embark on a renewed journey of mutual development, fostering closer ties and ushering in an era of greater prosperity for their peoples and the region as a whole.
