Praising the project as a unique development and an impactful step towards e-governance in Pakistan, the Chief Minister asked other provincial departments – mainly Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Municipalities – to follow suit.

As many as 7,000 contractors across the province are expected to benefit from the initiative and will have 24/7 facilitation for online registration at their disposal.

Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration in the Secretariat of Peshawar, Mahmood Khan welcomed the strides being made to digitise the system, saying that the e-registration provision will save contractors precious time as their trips to government offices will be minimised.

He further said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is setting an example for the rest of the country in terms of e-governance, adding that that the next step should be introducing e-work orders.
