
PESHAWAR: Provincial Housing Minister Dr. Amjad Ali issued orders to expedite work on the construction of residential colonies in tribal districts on Tuesday. Additional Secretary, Housing & Work and DG Pakistan Housing Authority also attended the meeting.
Participants were briefed on multiple housing schemes, including High Rise Flats Hayatabad, Civil Quarters, Hangu Township, Jalozai Housing Scheme, Dangram Media Colony, Havelian Township, Rehman Baba Complex, Jerma Housing Scheme and Surezai Residencies, along with other peri-urban housing schemes and residential colonies in merged districts.
According to reports, work on the Jerma Housing Scheme has been 68 percent done and should be completed within the next six months. Construction of High Rise Flats Hayatabad will also be finished by October.
The Housing Minister directed to accelerate the pace of the ongoing peri-urban housing projects and the completion of Dangram Media Colony’s master plan by 15th June. He also instructed to implement environmental protection measures in these residential areas, and strict monitoring of progress to ensure quality and timely completion.
