CPEC gains thrust, enters into second phase of cooperation

Federal Minister (PDR) said the government attaches most importance to the Rashakai economic zone, development of Gwadar and ground breaking of Zhob-Kuchlak. Futher developments include the transmission line for Makran coast, energy project and the Gwadar Airport. Pakistan wants earliest implementation for a timely inauguration.

CPEC has gained thrust. The pace is expected to stay consistent in future, said the Minister.

However, moving into the second phase of cooperation under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the finance model for the construction of Mainline-1 (ML-1) from Peshawar to Karachi is yet to be finalized.
