ISLAMABAD: The federal government, on Thursday, held a meeting with China to review the progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase 2 projects.
As per details, the meeting was conducted online and presider over by Minister for Planning Asad Umar and Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China Ning Jizhe.
According to details, 10 energy projects worth $10 billion have been concluded successfully and 4 projects worth $4.7 billion are in the pipeline. The government intended to renegotiate the terms of these projects.
As per the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC), Pakistan wants to maintain stable tax and tariff policies along with a standardised power market in the country.
Both the countries agreed to bring several other projects under the ambit of CPEC framework.
