Islamabad: Senator Sherry Rehman will chair the Senate Special Committee on China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to review projects on Friday.
The special committee will get briefings on investments in Gwadar Oil City by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The committee will also be briefed on laying of fibre-optic cable along the CPEC routes.
Saudi Arabia plans to make its biggest ever investment in Pakistan in the shape of a state-of-the-art petrochemical complex at Gwadar’s Oil City.
The briefing will also include a comprehensive briefing on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and special economic zones (SEZs) to be setup as part of CPEC.
