
ISLAMABAD: Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs, Babar Awan on Thursday told the Senate session that development work on 45,000 low-cost housing units is underway.
While speaking in the senate session, the adviser told that development work on low-cost housing units is under progress all over Pakistan particularly, Islamabad, Lahore, Nowshera, and Peshawar.
The adviser while briefing the senate session was also of the view that 180 proposals have been submitted by the private sector for the construction of 3mn housing units, out of these, 45 projects over seventy thousand housing units have been jotted down.
He also apprised that 41 sites have been identified under the peri-urban housing schemes for the construction of 10239 housing units.
