
Lahore: While speaking at a ceremony on-site Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme at Lodhran, the Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said that down payment for houses under the low-cost housing scheme has been cut down from 20 percent to 10 percent.
Lodhran has been included in the first phase of the housing scheme which Prime Minster Imran Khan will inaugurate. Construction of 300,000 low cost houses is to be started by this year for which interest free Qarz-e-Hasna of Rs.0.5 million will be given to low-income segments for the building of their houses.
Allocation of two percent quota will also be made to the journalists. Directions in this regard have been issued to the concerned department.
