Dubai: The Dubai Land Department has launched a new public awareness campaign to help residents better understand the Ejari system, as rental activity remains strong and tenant turnover continues across the city.
Launched under the slogan “Step by Step”, the campaign aims to simplify commonly used Ejari services by explaining them in clear and practical terms. It targets tenants, landlords and real estate brokers who frequently seek guidance on tenancy registration and compliance.
According to the department, the campaign addresses key areas that affect most renters, including how to register and cancel Ejari contracts, download Ejari certificates, calculate rental increase percentages, follow notification procedures, and manage non-renewal or lease termination processes.
Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to regulate landlord-tenant relationships, improve transparency and reduce disputes by ensuring residents are fully aware of their rights and legal responsibilities.
Ejari registration is mandatory in Dubai and is required to access essential services such as utility connections and residency-related procedures. The department noted that confusion around registration timelines, renewals and rent increases remains one of the most common concerns raised by residents, which the campaign seeks to address.
