The approved projects include the construction of a 103-kilometre road from Zhob to Mukhtar Barsta Murgha Kabza and a 105-kilometre road from Duki to Chamalang. These roads are expected to significantly improve regional accessibility, boost trade, and generate employment opportunities across the province.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar via video link, was attended by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Balochistan Irrigation Minister Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, and other senior government officials.

ECNEC also gave its approval to the revised Balochistan Livelihood and Internship Project, which focuses on creating income-generating opportunities and skill enhancement for local communities.

In addition, the committee reviewed progress and spending on ongoing national development schemes. Officials presented updates on the Access and Distribution of Quality Education in Balochistan Project, which aims to strengthen early childhood and primary education through public-private partnerships and emergency response mechanisms.

The five-year education initiative seeks to raise literacy rates by expanding access to quality learning facilities in remote and underserved areas.

ECNEC instructed relevant departments to ensure timely completion, transparency, and quality assurance in all approved development projects to maximise their long-term impact.
