
GWADAR: The Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority, Asim Bajwa has informed that the Gwadar Port and Free Economic Zone have the potential to generate economic activity of $10bn in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman was of the view that with Gwadar Port becoming fully operational numerous manufacturing activities will be started in the region which will also create job opportunities for the locals.
The Chairman also informed that the infrastructure on Gwadar Port has been completed at the cost of Rs300mn.
While sharing the information on Gwadar Free Zone, the chairman informed that the first phase of development has been completed and almost 47 business enterprises have been registered.
