
Islamabad: Presiding over a meeting on the preparation of upcoming fiscal budget 2019-20, to be announced tomorrow, the economic team presented budget proposals to participants.
PM advised authorities a careful expenditure while stressing on the development of backward regions and providing youth with maximum employment opportunities.
The total budget stands at an approximate Rs6,800 billion. Post approval by the cabinet, the budget and finance bill draft will be tabled in parliament. Economic Survey of Pakistan will be released today.
Finance Adviser Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Commerce Adviser Abdul Razak Dawood, Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar, State Bank Governor Dr Reza Baqir, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Rizvi and other officials attended the meeting.
