Govt to appoint Captain (R) Usman as Commissioner Islamabad and CDA Chairman

ISLAMABAD: The federal government decided today to designate the current Commissioner of Lahore, Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman, as the Commissioner of Islamabad and as the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Being the current administrator of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore, Capt. (R) Usman has decided to cede his position by today evening as his services are required in the federal capital.

The Government of Punjab, however, is yet to relieve him of his duties in the provincial capital.

Capt. (R) Usman, a BPS-20 grade officer of Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS), has served as the Commissioner of Lahore for one year and five months. Keeping in view his successful campaigns in Lahore, the federal government had wanted to utilise his expertise in the capital city.
