Govt to set up container hospitals in Balochistan

QUETTA: The provincial government has announced the setup of container hospitals and emergency centres to provide relief and control the spread of COVID-19 in the province.

The container hospitals will have isolation wards and operation theatres, to ensure the provision of quality healthcare.

In addition, paramedic staff will be allotted a separate accommodation facility.

The announced initiative has been divided into different phases. In the first phase, 1,500 containers will be utilised in by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to establish the healthcare facilities.

While briefing the National Coordination Committee (NCC) regarding the ongoing situation, CM Kamal informed about the need for essential equipment including ventilators and testing kits.

The provincial government was ensured of full support by the centre in their fight against this pandemic.
