
ISLAMABAD: Graana.com continues its efforts to promote eco-friendly activities in Islamabad, by co-hosting the first Cycling Sunday event of 2021.
The event is a joint collaboration of Urban Innovation, Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA), Islamabad Cycling Association, ITP, Tobacco Smoke-free Islamabad, UNDP Urban Platform, MTB Islamabad, Prime Minister’s Tiger Force, Critical Mass Islamabad, and Girls Cycling Squad.
The event was attended by Director General ICT, Ms. Syeda Shafaq Hashmi, Founder Urban Innovation Mr. Naveed Iftikhar, Imarat Group Directors Mr. Farhan Javed and Mr. Arslan Javed, to advocate for dedicated cycling infrastructure, and eco-friendly initiatives in Islamabad.
The recreational event organized held on Islamabad’s primary road, Jinnah Avenue, and culminating at D-Chowk, attracted an impressive crowd, where people enjoyed immensely with their families.
The bicycle enthusiasts were offered the options of leisure cycling, as well as, the cycling contests organized by the hosts.
The authorities hosted a successful event, aimed at transforming the Federal Capital into a bicycle-friendly city with better cycling infrastructure, including dedicated cycling lanes and parking spaces, to promote eco-friendly activities, with all essential COVID-19 SOPs in check.
