
ISLAMABAD: Graana.com, in collaboration with EU and Urban Innovation, hosted another successful ‘Cycling Sunday’ event, under the Graana Clubs initiative, attracting cycling enthusiasts from all age groups.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Rana Waqas, and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Amina Baig also participated in the event and lauded the launched initiative.
For the appreciation and to inculcate the importance of civic responsibility, certificates were distributed at the end of the event among the participants.
The recreational event organised on Islamabad’s primary road, Jinnah Avenue, and culminating at D-Chowk, attracted an impressive crowd, where people enjoyed immensely with their families.
The participants enjoyed the option of leisure cycling, as well as, the racing contests organised under the event. For the appreciation and to inculcate the importance of civic responsibility, certificates were distributed at the end of the event among the participants.
The authorities hosted a successful event, aimed at transforming the Federal Capital into a bicycle-friendly city with better cycling infrastructure, including dedicated cycling lanes and parking spaces, to promote eco-friendly activities, with all essential COVID-19 SOPs in check.
