Graana Group welcomes Omar Abedin as Chief Marketing Officer

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s smartest property portal and real estate group, Graana Group of Companies, has appointed former Careem Director Marketing Omar Abedin, as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Out of the many achievements accomplished in his business career in sales and marketing, Omar Abedin has previously served as the CEO of Starcom Mediavest. His startups included launching Middle East’s first battery replacement service.

While welcoming Omar Abedin on board, CEO Graana Group Shafiq Akbar acknowledged the great addition to the Graana family and stated that along with taking Graana to new heights, the new CMO will take forward the vision of RE2020. An initiative by Graana Group, RE2020 aims to bring over 100 investment projects to Pakistan across multiple sectors including real estate, tourism, arts & culture, energy, technology, and more. The key stakeholders of RE2020 will include the Government, media, academia, and international, industrial and economic partners.

Farhan Javed Graana Group Director said that with Abiden’s addition to the Graana Group with his prior experience, Graana is looking forward to growing even more, and with leaps and bounds. His incredible skillset will help revolutionise the real estate sector of Pakistan.

Omar Abedin, the new CMO expressed his ambition to bring a revolution to the real estate industry in Pakistan. The published author of ‘Building Brand YOU!’ said that his new role with the group will enable him to help achieve this vision.
