GWADAR: A senior official of the Gwadar Development Authority announced that the Gwadar Eastbay Expressway project worth $168 million is expected to be completed by October end.
The Gwadar Eastbay Expressway is part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is expected to jumpstart economic activity in the region. The expressway is part of the Early Harvest Scheme approved during the first phase of CPEC.
the senior official stated that the expressway will connect Gwadar Port with Gwadar Free Trade Zone and Makran Coastal Highway. He further added that 92 per cent of the construction work has been completed.
