
ISLAMABAD: While inaugurating a housing project on Kurri Road on Tuesday, PM Imran Khan revealed that Rs140bn have been disbursed by the banks for the various housing project.
While addressing the ceremony, the PM was of the view that the government is facilitating people to avail the housing finance as interest-free loans and various subsidies are being provided for the construction of houses.
He also stated that the construction industry is on a growth trajectory and it helped to increase the income of labor class. The income of labour observed an increase of 40-60pc.
The PM also praised the Ministry for Housing for completing the long-pending housing projects within the timeframe of three years.
The banking sector has approved housing loans of Rs124bn while loans of Rs40bn have already been disbursed, he added.
