Illegal Housing Societies in Rawalpindi Face Action: Warning Letters Sent by Authorities

Rawalpindi: The Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering Directorate of the Rawalpindi Development Authority has issued a letter to various institutions regarding the promotion of illegal private housing societies in the city and Chaklala area.

According to the details, the Metropolitan and Traffic Engineering Directorate of the RDA has sent a letter to various institutions regarding the promotion of illegal private housing societies. The letter has been addressed to the Cantonment Board, Parks and Horticulture Authority, as well as the heads of the District Council Rawalpindi and the Tehsil Municipal Corporation.

Furthermore, the letter states that unauthorized illegal housing societies are being advertised under your jurisdiction. However, prior to any promotional activities, the status of the society should be determined by the relevant Directorate of the RDA. No housing society can advertise without obtaining NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the RDA.

According to the letter, the unauthorized promotion is a violation of the Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021.
