Industrial areas to come under a single zone: DG SBCA

KARACHI: Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Zafar Ahsan has said that to facilitate the industry, all industrial zones would be treated as a single zone. This was said in an address to the meeting held by the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI). President KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan, Head of KATI’s Standing Committee on SBCA Farhan-ur-Rehman, Chairman and CEO KATI Zubair Chhaya, and Vice President of KATI Syed Wajid Hussain also addressed the gathering.

DG SBCA said that CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah issued a directive to facilitate the industries. He directed that construction of industrial structures should be expedited and will be headed by Director Syed Asif Rizvi. He noted that industrialisation is the only solution to the current slow economic growth in the country.

Zafar Ahsan said that SBCA is closely working with World Bank to further facilitate the industry sector and to increase the inflow of foreign investors.
