Senior representatives from both organizations attended the event. Chairman Randhawa highlighted the importance of enhancing healthcare services for both CDA employees and the general public. “This initiative underscores our dedication to providing world-class medical facilities,” he stated.

The agreement entails ADB’s provision of technical expertise and financial structuring support for the hospital’s expansion and modernization. Planned upgrades include renovations, new construction, and the installation of advanced medical equipment, increasing the hospital’s capacity beyond its current 500 beds.

ADB Country Director Emma Fan commended the initiative, reaffirming ADB’s commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure. “This project will establish new standards for public health services in Islamabad and cater to the city’s growing population,” she said.

Once upgraded, Capital Hospital is expected to offer high-quality healthcare comparable to leading private hospitals, benefiting both CDA employees and Islamabad residents. Both CDA and ADB expressed confidence that this transformation will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the federal capital.
