
Peshawar: In a meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP), 42 projects worth Rs24 billion were approved. The meeting was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash.
The forum considered 45 projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and merged tribal areas. Pertaining to different sectors, the projects are related to health, law, local government, development of various sectors, rehabilitation, energy and power, agriculture, infrastructure, water, tourism and education. Major schemes include developments of dental colleges, Maternal Newborn and Child Health Programme, establishment of an arena for track cycling, construction of Tehsil Judicial Complexes, ventures in education and several others.
The remaining two were deferred for inclusion in PSDP 2019-20 due to inadequate designs. They have been sent for rectification however.
The meeting was attended by Planning and Development Department Secretary Atif Rehman, members of PDWP and representatives of tribal districts.
