
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday invited bids for revamping the Kahuta industrial area road network.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chairman CDA Amer Ahmed Ali informed that the civic authority is going to spend Rs350mn for uplifting the existing road infrastructure of Kahuta industrial area.
The chairman also highlighted that the industrial area is taking part in the development of the city and was a part of Islamabad’s master plan therefore, infrastructure facilities should be extended to the area.
On the other side, the CDA and Board of Investment (BOI) have decided to set up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) along the eastern bypass.
The SEZ will stimulate economic activities and it will provide new job opportunities to the citizens.
