
Karachi: An allocation of Rs22.5 billion has been made in the provincial budget for 2019-20 in regards to the development schemes in Karachi. The Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has said that the 2019-20 budget comprised of 96 new schemes of the local government department and 77 of them belonged to Karachi. He added while assuring to resolve problems faced by the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board.
Years old infrastructure and KWSB pumping stations will be revamped. His will be done in collaboration with the World Bank (WB) which would spend an amount of $1.5 billion in the next 5 years.
