A spokesperson for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) informed about the power being suspended since 8:35pm on Tuesday, which resulted in the supply of water from the NEK pump to stop.

Hence, the supply of 160 million gallons of water to various parts of the city, including Gulistan-i-Jauhar, New Karachi, North Karachi and Scheme 33 were completely affected, while Gulshan-i-Iqbal was partially affected.

The provision of water will resume as soon as the electricity supply is restored.
