
Bara: Administration of Khyber district for the development activities had been given a cheque worth Rs45 million by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Islamic Relief Pakistan (IRP).
Speaking on the occasion, services and uplift schemes for the betterment of poverty ridden people was appreciated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jamshed Khan. Training was given to 467 men and 263 women by the UNDP representative, Haseeb Khan in regards to imparting training and skills in varied fields. The ADC said to provide help to 1285 members of the business community in order to expand their businesses. 250 people are expected to be provided with financial assistance for business revivals.
The meeting was attended by ADC Jamshed Khan, Planning Officer Faridullah Burki and UNDP representative Haseeb Khan.
