PESHAWAR: A gas project worth Rs35 billion was inaugurated by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, Governor Shah Farman, and SAFRON State Minister Sharyar Afridi, in Darra Adam Khel.
CM Mahmood Khan said that to promote the cottage industry of firearms, the government will give Darra Adam Khel the status of an industrial zone so that the people can make the firearms at their home town. The provincial government has decided to spend Rs83 billion for the tribes and will include other areas in this gas project.
The government introduced Sehat Insaf Card to help 1.2 million tribal people get free medical facilities. Moreover, to facilitate the people of the area, interest-free loans for starting businesses will also be given.
He further informed that up-gradation of the feeder and hospital was already in process. The PTI government is also establishing a girls’ college in the area and a sports complex too.
For the benefit of southern districts of K-P, an Expressway will also be constructed.
On the occasion, the notable people of Darra Adam Khail honoured CM, governor and state minister for SAFRON by giving them traditional turbans.
