
LAHORE: Sardar Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab while presiding over a meeting of labour department on Sunday announced the construction of labour tower in Lahore.
According to the details, the tower will be constructed on the land retrieved under the anti-encroachment drive of the provincial government.
In the meeting, the CM Punjab also directed the authorities to finish the construction work on 720 flats for labours as early as possible.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM was of the view that the government has retrieved 144 labour flats from land mafias.
Furthermore, the meeting also reached the decision for establishing worker welfare funds, and social security institutions in the province.
