
LAHORE: Due to increased population and exacerbation of urban issues, the city of Lahore is to be bifurcated into two districts namely, City and Saddar.
Five new tehsils will be created as well within those districts.
A PC-2 has been prepared as per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore to conduct an impact assessment study which will ensure that the historic charter of the city remains intact once it has been divided.
In a meeting chaired by the Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, it was stated that the creation of two administrative units will be discussed with the Sheikhpura DC.
