
LAHORE: During a meeting regarding Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and Central Business District (CBD), the Prime Minister was informed that Rs 100 Billion investment is expected in the Central Business District (CBD) in the first year.
The Prime Minister ordered the Punjab government to take severe legal action against unlawful encroachments and housing societies. He also directed expediting the transfer process for the RUDA and CBD projects.
He emphasised that these projects are aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of a common citizen. The meeting had already been informed that physical construction on both the RUDA and CBD projects is well underway, and the land acquisition process is about to be complete. The Development scheme’s master plan includes 1,900 low-cost housing units.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of Green Urbanisation and the inclusion of green spaces to mitigate the negative impacts of pollution.
