This was said during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was briefed on plans for the federal capital’s development projects and provision of international standard facilities for the citizens.

Among other steps being taken by CDA, the Chairman laid special emphasis on computerising land records and revisiting property taxation.

Earlier this month, a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) was signed between CDA and Survey of Pakistan (SoP) to digitise the land records of Islamabad.

The ongoing collection of data is not only expected to help the civic authority settle property disputes, but is also considered a vital tool that will aid CDA in planning and development of Islamabad in various mega projects.

Appreciating the civic body’s efforts to develop the capital, PM Imran Khan issued directives to relevant authorities for ensuring that Islamabad is made a prime example of a model city.
