Lahore: In the third meeting of the LDA governing body chaired by the Vice Chairman S.M. Imran, a regulatory framework for plot allotment to various government departments has been approved. Three government departments have been allotted plots for the establishment of their respective offices. These include Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Public Prosecution Department Government of Punjab and Energy Department Government of Punjab.

Regulatory framework for the auction of lease rights of LDA owned parking has also been approved. During the meeting, decision of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to regularize illegal water and sewerage connections without a penalty has also been validated.

The meeting was briefed by Director General LDA Amna Imran. Several officials attended the meeting including Vice Chairman WASA Imtiaz Mehmood, Secretary Housing Dr Zafar Nasar Ullah, Commissioner Lahore Dr Mujhtaba Paracha, Management Director WASA Syed Zahid and members of provincial assembly.
