
LAHORE: In accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, the Lahore Development Authority has committed to the Federal Government’s incentive package under the guidance of Chief Minister Punjab.
Under the initiative, the authority will approve the building plans of all residential, commercial, industrial and warehouse projects within 30 days of submission.
The completion certificates will be issued by the authority within 30 days, as per the new provisions.
The plans for developing a private housing scheme will be approved by the LDA within 60 days of submission.
The approval for plots to be used for commercial or industrial purposes will be granted within 45 days.
Prior to this, the Premier had changed the status of the construction sector to industry.
To attract investments and revive the national economy, Khan had also declared that disclosing the source of income by the investors will not be required.
Furthermore, the government had waived of withholding taxes in the construction industry to welcome investment in the industry.
Along with reviving the economic activity, the relief package was aimed at generating employment for the underprivileged segments of the society.
