LAHORE: In a bid to ensure compliance with parking regulations, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to survey nine model roads, approved hospitals, and megastores.
As per the details, notices will be given to areas where the regulations have been compromised, and three days will be given to vacate the parking area.
This decision was taken in a meeting of the Review Committee of Building & Zoning Regulations, which was formed to comply with a court order in writ petition No. 22574/2014.
The meeting was attended by officials from various departments, including the LDA and the TEPA.
During the meeting, the LDA Director-General directed the appointment of an Additional Director General (HQ) as a Focal Person for the assignment. He also demanded NOCs from neighbours for high-rise building plan approvals, including apartments.
The meeting also discussed issues related to traffic, parking, and environmental concerns in Lahore City. Participants were directed to submit proper reports within the next three days.
Furthermore, the Chief Town Planner briefed that a proposal regarding amendments to Land Use regulations would be prepared.
