LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC), on Thursday, announced to further extend the injunction to implement Master Plan 2030 until March 28, 2023.
According to sources, Justice Shahid Kareem heard the petitions filed by Mian Abdul Rehman and others. As the lawyer of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) was marked absent due to ill health, a decision could not be reached.
Previously, the LHC had directed the LDA to halt the implementation of the Master Plan 2030 as the appellant argued that the initiative violated the Lahore Master Plan 2014 rules. As a result, the court ordered LDA to present its argument.
Since the LDA representative did not appear in court, the LHC announced extending the date till the end of march.
