Naya Pakistan Housing Authority legislation placed at NA

During the meeting of National Assembly Standing Committee on Housing and Works, MNA Engineer Mohammad Najeeb Haro in the chair with , Zaigham Mahmood Rizvi and Chairman Task Force for Naya Pakistan Housing Programe, briefed the lawmakers over a meeting to place forward a legislation for establishing the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority.

According to the NA standing committee, 570,000 kanals of private land  and 11,000 acres of the Evacuee Trust Property Board were available for this project. The NA committee also discussed the shortage of housing units for government officials in Islamabad saying that a total of 17,496 houses were already allotted while a total of 25,245 people were on the waiting list.
