
Islamabad: In a review meeting of the Naya Pakistan Housing Project, PM was informed of the ground-breaking of housing projects in Islamabad and Quetta within this month.
Under the program, a total of 110,000 housing units will be constructed in Quetta and Gwadar while 19,000 apartments will be built in four various projects at different places in the capital.
Respective draft legislations, foreclosure laws and housing-specific loans recovery have been forwarded to the Cabinet Committee for Legislative Cases (CCLC) for consideration within a week.
In regards to the first phase of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, Housing Ministry will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with the Balochistan Government for housing projects in Quetta, Gwadar, Fisher Colony and other places in the province. 3000 units will be built in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), 30,000 units near Chaklala and 6000 apartments near sector G13/4, Islamabad.
PM expressed satisfaction over the steady progress, use of technology, job creation and boost to allied sectors.
