
ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Housing, the PM was informed that master planning of 28 cities of Punjab is on the fast track.
According to the details, the master plans revolve around the basic infrastructure, economic development, the utility of land, and financial planning of institutions.
Similarly, the masterplans will also encompass the elements pertaining to calamities and national disasters.
The PM was informed that the land policies will be changed and a special commercialization committee is also being formed.
Simultaneously, the committee also informed that a policy for high-rise buildings is also being adopted so that the maximum number of people can be accommodated in cities.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), work on master plans of Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, and Abbottabad was ready while progress on the master plans of other five cities is in the final stage.
