ND2C- Pakistan’s biggest design conference ends

ISLAMABAD: After bringing together an array of spectacular design-related opportunities and designers from the local industry and around the world, National Design Conference 2019, Pakistan’s biggest design conference came to an end on Sunday.
The two-day event brought together creative minds from the design fraternity, which included marketing, media & communication professionals, students, academia and creative agencies. It provided a platform to speak about design and personal growth in the creative industry, reviewed the design practices and highlighted the growth of technology and trends in order to evaluate the future of design.
An idea conceived jointly by the two organisers, Sana Khalid and Nida Salman, took place for the third year in a row. It gave the participants and attendees, which included graphic designers, animators, illustrators, content creators and other creatives an exposure to learn from some of the highly talented speakers, and by attending their workshops.
Hosted by the highly talented Faris Khalid, the powerful speakers’ line-up included Gemma O’Brian, Daniel Zander, Laura Berglund, Yawar Iqbal, Gulraiz Iqbal, and Faraz Masood Hamidi among others.
Being the innovative force behind the event, the Industry Innovation Partners- Graana.com conducted the UXathon at the event this year. By designing a solution for Graana’s map-based mobile search, Mr Ahmed Hassan won the challenge and a cash price of Rs50, 000.

With the theme changing every year, this year the theme of  Live Design Challenge was branding  ‘Jugaad Funkaar’ a project of the UNDP Pakistan & a clothing brand. A well-curated creative fair was also hosted at the conference that displayed the design talent from across country, ND2C’19 fulfilled the underlying promise to inspire designers by bringing together the design fraternity of Pakistan.
