Beijing: While talking at the ceremony of the second Belt and Road (BRI) Forum, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan announced that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be entering into its next phase.

Phase two of the CPEC will be complemented by the adoption of a vast Pakistan- China Free Trade Agreement. He pressed on catering climate change with tree plantation, formation of a BRI tourism corridor, establishment of an anti-corruption cooperation office, poverty alleviation fund, socio-economic uplift and trade liberalisation.

In his speech, PM appreciated BRI as a key component towards international collaboration, sustainable growth, connectivity and prosperity as 122 states and 49 international organisations sign onto the BRI vision.
