ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman, Khurram Agha, NHA awarded the contract for the construction of the Sialkot-Kharian M-12 project.
According to the details, the 69km project will be constructed at the cost of Rs27.32bn in partnership with Frontier Work Organisation (FWO) and two other entities.
The motorway will pass through various areas including Jalapur Jattan, Peru Shah, Gujrat, and Daulat Nagar. Furthermore, a link road of 9km will also be constructed alongside the M-12 project.
Furthermore, the FWO will also get a subsidy of Rs1bn every year for 8 years under Viability Gap Funding (VGF).
