Pak-China trade volume observed at $12.56bn

ISLAMABAD: Despite the hurdles posed by the pandemic, Pakistan-China trade volume in the first half of FY 2021 is recorded at $12.56bn in the first half of FY2021.

According to the details, the trade volume has increased by 1.6 times as compared to the volume of the same period last year.

The trade volume in the first quarter of FY year is observed at $888mn as compared to the value of $526mn in the same period of 2020.

The factors associated with the increase in trade include progress on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Chinese foreign investment in Pakistan, and the entry of the Pak-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

Furthermore, Chinese enterprises are also taking a keen interest in the industrial sector of Pakistan.
