Pakistan and Nepal in agreement to enhance bilateral trade

According to a statement issued by the minister, both leaders agreed to enhance bilateral trade ties and expressed their desire to expand on bonds of friendship between the two countries.

The meeting entailed discussion of bilateral relations, regional peace, grave human rights violations and humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir, and several other matters of mutual interest.

President Alvi made use of the occasion to brief the Nepalese Prime Minister on the illegal occupation and actions of India in occupied Kashmir. He expressed hope that Nepal will play its role as SAARC chair, for strengthening peace and stability in the region.

Earlier on August 22, Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali had expressed his deep concerns over the situation of Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir during his telephonic conversation with the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The foreign minister had contacted his Nepali counterpart Pradeep Gyawali to apprise him of the atrocities committed by the Indian government in occupied Kashmir.
