The census aims to collect information to help planning and development processes.

The digitalization of the census is a welcome step as by conducting the census digitally, transparency is ensured, procedures are based on data, progress can be monitored in real-time using GIS systems that employ geotagging, and the census results will be more widely accepted.

People have liked using the self-enumeration portal, which is supported by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

During the listing phase, residential and economic units were geo-tagged, and the economic activities were classified according to international standards.

The final phase of the census began on March 12 and will continue until April 4. This phase involves collecting data on household members, demographic characteristics, and socioeconomic indicators.

The digital census will help the government plan better and make informed decisions for the country’s development.
