RAWALPINDI: Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood Murtaza said on Thursday that the authority is working hard to meet the timeline of the Rs58 billion Ring Road project and expressed confidence that the plan for the project would be finalised by March 2020.
Addressing the business community at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), the Chairman stressed on the need of collaboration with key stakeholders and the members of the Chamber to make the ‘Glorious Rawalpindi project’ a success.
The Chairman appreciated the suggestions provided by the RCCI for the beautification of the city and pledged to make the necessary efforts, together with all the stakeholders, to improve the city.
He further shed light on the Green Rawalpindi project and informed of the initiative to plant trees in the city and GT road under the project.
During his address, he spoke regarding the Rs56 billion Lei Expressway and told that the project would be completed under a public-private partnership.
He apprised the gathering of various other development projects and invited the stakeholders for collaboration with the RDA.
